# Quality Amish Made Cheese # 26 Years of Artisan Cheese Making # Over 20 Varieties of Cheese # Watch Cheese Being Made Daily Farm Country Cheese House broke ground in April of 1983 and started production in July of 1984. Since the beginning, the Amish communities in and around Lakeview, Michigan have supplied the milk and most of the labor required to process the cheese that we sell. We currently receive antibiotic-free milk from approximately 107 Amish farmers who have an average of 2 to 20 cows per herd, which are milked twice daily by hand. People have come to know us for our specialty cheeses such as dill, hot pepper, vegetable and cheese curds, as well as our mild, medium, sharp and extra sharp cheddars. We also make special sharp cheddar, appropriately named Christmas Cheddar because it is only available from the 1st Saturday in November until Christmas. These and the various gift boxes which we have available make us a popular destination for holiday shoppers looking for unique gifts with a great taste! Farm Country Cheese House is open six days a week from 9:00am until 5:00pm. Those who'd like to watch cheese making in progress should be sure to stop in Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 2:00pm. We also schedule tours for groups of all sizes. If you'd like to contact us, please call us at (989) 352-7779, click here to send us an email or visit us at 7263 Kendaville Road, Lakeview, MI 48850. We are approximately 50 miles NE of Grand Rapids, well worth the drive if you love great cheese! We offer 5 different gift boxes, pricing ranging from $15.00 to $35.00.
