After years of not having much land and a visit back to Pilar's home country, Colombia, the Quintero family decided to purchase more land to live on and be able to enjoy the benefits of farming. After starting with horses, they moved on to more animals and select vegetables and fruits to be able to create a desirable location for sustainable agritourism, education, and gatherings. By maintaing an organic farm, Rancho Alegre hopes to continue educating the public about healthier ways of eating and allow for a sustainable community to develop and flourish.
