We are a certified organic CSA farm located in southeastern Wisconsin. We offered our first shares during the 2012 season from verdant land in Whitewater, WI. In 2013, we will re-locate our farm and steward a beautiful piece of land in Jefferson, WI, near the Dorothy Carnes County Park. Our primary focus will still be feeding a small group of CSA members in the Fort Atkinson and Whitewater areas, by cultivating about two acres in diversified produce. We will also venture into growing edible mushrooms and co-managing a young food forest of perennial fruits & nuts. Become a member or visit us at market to receive the bounty of this beautiful land and our hard work!
Our mission is to be a responsible steward of the soil. We are committed to a highly diverse ecology for producing food which encompasses perennials, livestock, and fungi alongside annual vegetable production. We envision the farm as an educational space for ourselves and the community. We minimize the use of fossil fuels by using human power, gravity, bicycles, and renewable energy in its place. We would like to keep the farm at a manageable size, where we can observe and participate in all of its aspects. We believe all of these values will help produce high quality food to nourish the land, ourselves and our neighbors in an ecologically regenerative and economically sustainable way.
