Birch Point Farm is a CSA in Leelanau County specializing in heirloom vegetables, herbs, and flowers. Everything grown on under 3 of the total 20 acres of land is organic (not certified) and is marketed through CSA, Traverse City Farmers Market, and local wholesale accounts. Birch Point Farm offers a variety of produce ranging from red butterhead and red leaf lettuces, rhubarb, giant Swiss chard, kale, flowering chives, green garlic with scapes, mesclun/baby salad mix with edible flowers, spinach, and oyster mushrooms in the spring, to potatoes, winter squash, pumpkins, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, carrots, rutabaga, kohlrabi, parsnips, celeriac and baby salad mix in the fall/winter. In between, of course, there's the summer bounty of heirloom tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, summer squash, zucchini, cucumbers, muskmelons, watermelons, basil, dill, fresh flowers, and much more.
